In Merk Mayhem, we've meticulously designed our Heads-Up Display (HUD) to provide players with crucial information in an intuitive, unobtrusive manner. Inspired by the sleek and efficient designs of iconic games our HUD blends style with functionality, ensuring players have all they need to excel in battle without any unnecessary clutter.


Key Features of the HUD

Weapon & Ammo Display (Bottom Right)

  • Holstered Weapon Identification: Always know which weapon you've holstered

  • Ammo Count: See the number of rounds in your magazine and your total ammunition reserve.

Abilities Tracking (Bottom Left)

  • All Together: Your melee, tactical, and lethal ability cooldowns and armor counter are located side by side.

Crosshairs & Combat Feedback (Center)

  • Responsive Hit Markers: Visual and sound feedback for every hit landed.

  • Color Coded Hit Indicator: Unique color changes for headshots and armor breaks give you vital information

  • Clean Interface: No damage numbers are displayed to maintain a clean visual field.

Radar (Top Left)

  • Dynamic Display: The radar responds to enemy actions and displays their location when they are seen, fire weapons, or make significant movements.

    • Dots: Enemies show up fully when sprinting or in your line of sight.

    • Pings: Enemies show up as pings when walking or firing their weapons.

  • Team Synchronized: Our radar system promotes collaboration. When you're part of a team, your radar is synchronized with your allies'. This means that your entire team shares a unified radar system, ensuring that everyone is on the same page.

    • Ally Locations: The radar constantly displays the positions of all your teammates, fostering effective coordination and reducing the risk of friendly fire incidents.

    • Enemy Sightings: If one of your teammates spots an enemy, the radar immediately displays that enemy's location for every team member within range. This instant information sharing enhances your team's situational awareness and enables quick responses to threats.

Health and Armor Bars (Top Center)

  • Dual-Bar System: Separate bars for Health and Armor, with Armor varying based on character class.

  • Visual & Audio Alerts: Players are notified when armor breaks or health reaches critical levels.

Game Chat (Center Left)

  • Integrated Communication: Stay connected with the entire lobby through in-game chat by pressing Enter

Status Effect Indicators (Center Right)

  • Visual Indicators: Whenever affected, text with information on the effect name and duration appears to keep you informed.
